Job opening for Project Manager (PM) at Strats (Standard Chartered)

I’m happy to announce that the Strats team at Standard Chartered is hiring. We have a project manager (PM) position open for applications. The role will involve direct contact with the Strats developers, other technology functions and business stakeholders.

The growing Strats team now consists of about 40 members in either Singapore or London, working exclusively in Haskell. Dozens of people from other teams are also writing Haskell code, so this is a chance to join what’s probably the largest Haskell development team in the world, and help managing the largest Haskell codebase (over 3 million lines of code).

We currently offer only contractor positions (with the possibility of conversion to permanent in the future) with very competitive compensation.

The aforementioned position is suitable for a project manager with an experience of working in the technology industry (especially, software engineering).

Please also consider applying, if you have a software engineering, DevOps or production support experience, and would like to transition into project management.

The PM responsibilities will include:

  • Specification and requirements gathering
  • Software effort estimation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Design and implementation of production release and support processes
  • Budget management and forecasting
  • Community engagement and sponsoring external events
  • Organise hiring and staff on-boarding

We require physical presence in London. Flexible work arrangements are possible, but relocation to the UK is necessary. If this sounds exciting to you, please email your CV and a short motivation text to Atze DOT Dijkstra AT sc DOT com. Feel free to also ask any questions you might have.
